With over 26 years of experience as a qualified mental health nurse, I bring a broad and in-depth understanding of mental health across a wide range of settings, including acute admissions, medium and high secure services, and community care. I trained at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and City University, London, and have also worked within the charity sector before returning to clinical practice.
More recently, my work has focused on remote mental health risk assessments within Talking Therapies services, alongside conducting ADHD assessments for individuals across Gloucestershire.
My interest in neurodivergence is both professional and personal. Following my daughter’s diagnosis of ADHD, as well as my own assessment experience, I developed a strong commitment to improving how assessments are delivered. I aim to ensure that each assessment is not only clinically thorough, but also supportive, relatable, and respectful of each person’s experience.
I am particularly passionate about creating an environment where clients feel understood and at ease, ensuring that assessments remain both rigorous and genuinely person-centred.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy gardening and landscaping, and I support a local school gardening club. I also have a keen interest in restoring and modifying classic cars.
